The reality in today’s society
Since decades we have been fighting for equality within our society. We have received an enormous amount of support to develop few strategies and enlighten about the races that devastate our unity. But still, we fail to achieve what we really want.
History teaches us that few castes were been dominant over others while others were crushed and left for submission. Of course, they had survived a very horrible life which needs to be reformed. But now due to the efforts of our great leaders, they are lifted up in terms of stature and status. And even reached highest of positions in the society.
But what happened then? Equality
Equality is the medicine which empowered the weak to utilize the benefits of normal life. But then, even medicine has an expiry date. And I suppose the date has arrived. Wake up and see the real world.
This is not exactly what has to happen as per the design.
The society was designed to maintain EQUITY and not EQUALITY.
Hope the difference is well understood without any explanation. As we see every day and some of us may have been the victims of it. Let us fight for a society which has its fundamental right as equity.
The rich are getting much richer and the poor are getting much poorer. Reservation based on caste, lack of necessary support and funds to enhance the creativity and knowledge of youngsters. Our current way of living is surrounded by quality less life.
Remember the words of Viswakavi Ravindranath Tagore and let’s try for something changing and let us begin with the change:
“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”
