Recently, after a long time I got to talk to an old friend of mine. As random topics got into their way, we were struck at creation. Creating something new. All of us were some way or the other related to creative field. Writing (Poetry, story), Photograph, Video Making, etc.
We discussed various aspects and finally one thought resembled all our conversation: “Do we lack creativity?”
My answer is NO. We do not. We all have creativity in different areas of interest. But we lack in the confidence and quality time. We work 8hrs a day and relax after work. Relaxing in movies, books and music. A great pleasure that mind goes into peace.
But while we think about creativity. Let’s go find its meaning.
The words imagination, original ideas frightens you, right?
But creativity doesn’t need to be always new.
Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, and clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. —Jim Jarmusch
Creating something out of nothing is being creativity. When we are struck nowhere, we need to find out a way. And that’s being creative.
So we may arise a question. How to be creative.
Yes, we need to know how to develop and train ourselves to be creative. I’ve read in some blog about being creative and I want to share it with you here. Just follow the below steps and discover the creator in you.
Do you enjoy reading? Try writing. Do you enjoy hearing music? Make music using an app. You don’t have to know how to play a musical instrument to begin. Do you enjoy watching videos? Shoot a two-minute video on your smartphone with a storyline.
Does this make you think different and explore the creativity hidden within you?
I’ve heared many of us saying “I’m not so creative”
Really? Are you? Do you use social media efficiently, do you tease your best friends, do you ake fun of them. Then yeah, you are creative.
If yes, just start from today.
Children were taught painting with colors. This is because, the mind explodes into evolution when it endures into variation and creavity is the ultimate result of it. Then come on my friend, you have a great start around. Be a child and be creative.
