IND Vs SL: Virat Kohli’s 5th Double Century As A Captain

Indian captain Virat Kohli hit an astonishing double century against Sri Lanka in the second Test in session 3 on Day 3 at Nagpur. But unfortunately Virat Kohli is out on 213.

Virat Kohli hit 17 beautiful boundaries and 2 huge hits into the stands. He played a fantastic innings where Indian team no need to look back for victory in this Test match.

India’s Run Machine made his 5th double century. The No 4 batsman already in a tremendous fom as he scored a hundred in the previous Test match  at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

In this calendar year (2017) Virat Kohli has scored almost 800 runs. He hit 5 double hundreds as a captain.

The 29-year old made his 1st double century against Sri Lanka. Previously, Sachin Tendulkar (6), Virender Sehwag (6), Rahul Dravid (5) and now Virat Kohli stands top among them.

As a captain the number  of double centuries  scored by the batsmen are Brain Lara (5), Virat Kohli (5), Don Bradman (4), Graeme Smith (4) and  Michael Clarke (4).

Currently, India is playing superbly in the first innings of the second Test on Day 3 at Nagpur. India scored 589 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. Rohit Sharma 81* and Ravichandran Ashwin 0* are at the crease.

KL Rahul scored 7, Murali Vijay scored 128, Cheteshwar Pujara scored 143 , Ajinkya Rahane  scored 2 runs and Virat Kohli scored 213 respectively in the first inning while Sri Lanka all-out for 205 runs.
